��� Tironga (Ex-Familien) built in 1869 in Thuro (Denmark), in Svendborgsumd, A.P. Troensegaards Yard for� EOR J.J. Rasmussen and J Jensen.� Two masted Gaff Schooner, Oil Paintings Exist from the 1870's.� Reproduces in K Lend, Vinden ER VOR Vol.5 pg.8.� New owner Aeroskobing in 1885 sold to Per Martensson (1/2 share) in 1894.� Registered in Skillinge Sweden with Grt, 78.46 net 74.79 implying little hold space then sold in 1901 and 1907 to Skillinge Syndicates.� In 1916 sold to a syndicate in Lidkoping,� First motor installed(20� horse power).� Transferred between sydicated in 1925, 1926 and again in 1929 to one based in Eken.� 1934 sold to T.A. Warn in Kavelback (new motor 40 horse power) Operated by T.A. Warn and then in 1949 a complete rebuild in Sjotorp. the last traditional� Shipbuilding Center in Sweden, Stern remolded to present form.� In 1957 a new share owner with T. A. Warn Capt. Bulow.� In 1959 converted to ketch rig based in Denmark. In 1962 sold to Capt. Based in Dagerfors, major refit in Vahern: Bottom rebuilt, New Rig (steel masts)� In 1976 sold to Stokholm based fur traders Ab Brunos Pjalsvaror in Transas, Renamed the Tironga at that time.� In 1978 sold to E. Malm of Malmo and went to E. Mediterranean.� In 1983 sold to C. Y. Legler and transferred rig to 180 horse power Albin engine installed, sailed to E. Caribbean.� 1984 to 1985 Further Major Refit in Cumanar, Venezuela.� Sold to J. Steele in Classic Yachts Regatta.� Sold in 1991 to Chris Guiry of New Brunswick owned by a Canadian Corporation and moved to Jamaica used as a day tourist cruise boat.� An oil painting of Familien in the early part of this Century exists at Skillinge.� Tironga sank in Kingston Jamaica Bay in 1996,� Come aboard and help me save the Tironga for the future.....generations.
